Scope of this Standard
This standard specifies maximum limits for key parameters of trade effluents that are intended for discharge into public sewerage systems; the methods of sampling and testing to be utilized in the determination of these parameters are included. The standard also specifies the nature and types of substances to be excluded from such effluents. This standard does not apply to: a) domestic wastewater discharges; and b) trade effluent discharged directly into the environment. NOTE The standard does not address pre-treatment measures before discharge into public sewerage systems.
